The hospital Our Lady of the Pottery, located in a quiet part of Bruges, received needy patients and passers-by who entered Bruges from the north. Thanks to a miraculous statue of the Virgin, the hospital became a pilgrimage site, with an impressive baroque church. The rich church interior with a unique series of tapestries depicting the miraculous interventions of the statue of the Virgin and two monumental Gothic statues of the Virgin Mary is certainly worth the detour. The museum has many assets with a unique convent table from the 15th century, baroque sideboards, a writing table possibly for Emperor Charles V, a Renaissance bed, paintings, statues and an impressive collection of religious silver.
